Wanted: Director for New Moon

A week ago, Catherine Hardwicke was saying that she is already making plans for the second movie in the Twilight Series, New Moon. She was saying that she can make the movie a bit quicker and that she has a few ideas for shots. This news came as great news, because one of the biggest complaints I heard about this movie is the wonky shots, that often seemed awkward and and a little silly.
Now, news has come out that Ms. Hardwicke will not be back for the second movie. The studio is claiming it is because Hardwicke can not meet the studios timeline, which, incidental is late 2009, which is a bit rushed. Reports, however, claim it is because Hardwicke did not get along with studio reps, the producers, or the actors, and they canned her, in search of someone better. With the previous movie making a ton of dough, they should have no problem finding someone who can take the reigns of a serious movie.
