Fanboys is a movie that has supposed to have come out for over a year. There has been a huge legal battle, a debate over a final cut, and several delays from the production company. The original story is that of the guys going to Skywalker Ranch because their friend wants to see Episode One before he dies of cancer. The last cut removed that idea and just made the story that they were really obsessed. After a huge outcry from fans, they put the cut back in, and finally, it looks like this will finally come out.
Now, the question I have is, will this movie really do well? Sure Star Wars fans like myself may see this movie, but, lets face it, their numbers have been dwindling over the years, and now, do they really have enough numbers to make this a hit? I don't really think this movie will appeal to anybody besides what exactly the title refers to, fanboys. Will that be enough, I don't think so.
