Directors of the new Bond movie Quantum of Solace have let it slip 2 very famous lines will not be in the new movie when it hits theatres. "Bond, James Bond," and "Shaken, not stirred" will not be in the movie. The director is sited as saying they are a little old fashion for a new, modern bond.
So, what do you think, is this going to be another 'Han shot first' thing, where only the really passionate, or really anal fans will be upset, or does this take away from the image everyone knows as Bond?
I personally think its a link to previous works, an homage, or at least a bit of a tip of the hat, and it rewards the fans who look for those things. Would it take anything away? No. So, what's the harm? The only thing I can think of, is maybe they are trying to think of a new catchphrase, but I think they should not try to fix what is not broken.
