You remember the light cycles, the flying discs, and the Big Lebowski himself trapped in a computer, playing games to survive in the classic Tron, don't you? Well, Hollywood and it's infinite originality have broken out the old glowing suits and are planning a remake. The title has been moved around a hundred times, but it sounds like they have landed on Tron 2.0. Original, huh? Well, it looks like they are getting ready to start production and have named Garrett Hedlund of Aragon fame (IMDB link here: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1330560/)
While I am not a huge fan of remakes as a rule, there have been some out there that could use a remake, and Tron is one of them. It was a great movie, but the worlds understanding of computers has enhances, and it's fear of them have diminished (or maybe just moved to the robots that will eventually enslave all mankind). Like computers, Tron because outdated very quickly, and a remake, with some new, cool special effects could be good. Or, it could be a train wreck, either way, it could be fun to watch!
