You have to check out this trailer released at this years E3 gaming convention for Star Wars Old Republic. Now, before you cry fowl over this being a game trailer on a movie blog, I'm posting it because, not only does it kick all kinds of ass, but there are columns and posts and Tweets everywhere from Star Wars fans crying and wishing this would have been the basis for the prequels.
Could you imagine this scene on the big screen with dozens of Jedi and Sith battling on an epic scale? I'm pretty sure Star Trek would've just given up and say "eff it, you win."
But, no, the prequels were the underwhelming films they are, but at least we got 2009's Star Trek.
